This is a project that was displayed in the Rotofugi store a week ago, though it's taken down now.... and hung in my living room! It was a very nice event since there were many people that came to see our class's final work in Character Visualization, the accumulation and end result of what we had learned in class. I am pretty sure my classmates and I were all relieved to be over with the project since our final character designs lasted for many weeks. The atmosphere in the store was pretty relaxed, there was little to no pressure. When people came to compliment my work, it was a good feeling, and they would ask questions relating to it. I didn't feel any pressure from answering any of their questions and they were all nice people. It was also nice and exciting to meet some professional artists who came to judge our work as well. Though I didn't win anything, it was great to talk with them, however short it was, and to receive some feedback from them about my work. I met my classmates' families and made small talk with them. Among my three characters, the visitors seemed to like the robot the best as it received the most and positive feedback. I was impressed with my classmates' works as well, as a few of them came a long way with their designs (it became so different from the original and first designs, which is not a bad thing). They also did well on their color schemes, lighting/highlights and shadows. Overall, it was an awesome event and a great experience.
